The Monitoring Screen provides the clinician in one glance the complete
status of his patient's hemodynamics. It displays four analog signals (ECG, dZ/dt,
Z
and the rate of respiration), the digital values of 18 parameters
and in an analog fashion, the relationship of a parameter's value to its normal
range.
The Hemodynamic Management Screen depicts the patient's hemodynamic
state (the MAP @ SI relationship) as a point in a hemodynamic map and
identifies
(a) the percentage deviations of MAP and SI from the ideal
normohemodynamic state, and
(b) the causes of abnormal hemodynamics,
i.e., the percentage deviations in three hemodynamic and one perfusion modulators
(intravascular volume, inotropy, vasoactivity and chronotropy).
A unique feature of the HOTMAN® System is its capability to
model the hemodynamic effect of any cardioactive and vasoactive drug (and/or
their combination) on the patient's observed hemodynamic state, without actually
exposing the patient to the effects of such drugs. The HOTMAN's hemodynamic
management and modeling capability will save the user the money for the drugs wasted
as a result of current trial-and-error management methodology.
Since the HOTMAN® System stores automatically the digital values of all parameters on its hard disk every minute, the trends of up to six parameters over time can be viewed on any HOTMAN® System.
