HOTMAN® BAS/PRG SYSTEMS PATIENT INTERFACES

(Patient Interfaces for neonatal and pediatric patients are, principally, the same, however the electrodes used are either neonatal or pediatric and the distances within the neck and lower thoracic pairs are smaller, proportional to the body habitus of these patients)

1) The HOTMAN® BAS/PRG System patient interface for automatic, and operator-independent acquisition of ECG and noninvasive blood flow (cardiac index and stroke index) and left-ventricular performance parameters consists of four pairs of solid gel electrodes placed on the neck and lower thorax:

2) The noninvasive blood pressure acquisition is performed with an occlusive cuff, wrapped around the arm.
In HOTMAN® BAS and PRG Systems, the blood pressure is measured manually by the clinician and the systolic and diastolic pressure values are entered via the keyboard.

3) The noninvasive determination of saturation level of oxygen in arterial blood (SpO2) is performed with a pulse oximeter, with its clip placed on a finger or toe. The SpO2 and the Hgb values have to be entered via the keyboard.
